Setting up a new copy of Outlook 2010 with Exchange

  1. Open the Outlook install file, read and accept the Microsoft® Software License Terms, and then click Continue.
  2. Launch Microsoft Outlook 2010.
  3. In the Startup Wizard, click Next. On the Account Configuration page, select Yes to indicate you want to configure an email account, and then click Next. If the Startup Wizard doesn’t automatically display, from the File menu, select Info, and then click Add Account.
  4. On the Auto Account Setup page, Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types, and then click Next.
  5. On the Choose Service page, select Microsoft Exchange, and then click Next.
  6. Complete the following:
    • Microsoft Exchange Server — exchange.plexustechnology.com

    NOTE: After entering your settings, the Microsoft Exchange Server will automatically update the Exchange Server to the correct server for your account.
    Toggle

    • Select Use Cached Exchange Mode.
  7. User Name — Enter your email address. For example, type [email protected].
  8. Click More Settings, and go to the Connection tab.
  9. In the Outlook Anywhere section, select Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP, and then click Exchange Proxy Settings.
  10. In the Connection Settings section, complete the following:
    • https:// — exchange.plexustechnology.com
    • Select Connect using SSL only.
    • Select Only connect to proxy servers that have this principle name in their certificate:
      • input — msstd:exchange.plexustechnology.com
    • Select On fast networks connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP.
    • Select On slow networks connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP.
  11. In the Proxy authentication settings section, choose the following:
    •  NTLM Authentication.
  12. Click OK, and then click Apply.
  13. Click OK and then click Next.
  14. When the Congratulations message displays, click Finish. The Connect to window displays.
  15. In the Connect to window, enter your User Name (full email) and Password, and then click OK. (This is your email address and password for your mailbox.)

Setting up an existing copy of Outlook 2010 with Exchange

  1. Go to the Windows® Start menu, and select Control Panel.
  2. From the Classic view, double-click Mail.
  3. Click Show Profiles, and then click Add.
  4. Enter a name for the profile, and then click OK.
  5. On the Auto Account Setup page, enter the following:
    • Your Name — Enter your first and last name.
    • E-mail Address — Enter your email address.
    • Password — Enter the password you created for your email account.
    • Retype Password — Enter your password again.
  6. Do the following:
    • Manual Configuration — To manually configure your email account settings, at the bottom of the page, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types, click Next, and then complete the remaining steps in this procedure.
  7. On the Choose E-mail Service page, select Microsoft Exchange, and then click Next.
  8. Complete the following:
    • Microsoft Exchange Server — exchange.plexustechnology.com

    NOTE: After entering your settings, the Microsoft Exchange Server will automatically update the Exchange Server to the correct server for your account.
    Toggle

    • Select Use Cached Exchange Mode.
    • User Name — Enter your email address. For example, type [email protected].
  9. Click More Settings, and go to the Connection tab.
  10. In the Outlook Anywhere section, select Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP, and then click Exchange Proxy Settings.
  11. In the Connection Settings section, complete the following:
    • https:// — exchange.plexustechnology.com
    • Select Connect using SSL only.

  12. In the Proxy authentication settings section, choose the following:
    • For Exchange 2010 select NTLM Authentication.
  13. Click OK, click Apply, click OK and then click Next.
  14. When the Congratulations message displays, click Finish.
  15. In the Connect to window, enter your User Name (full email) and Password, and then click OK. (This is your email address and password for your mailbox.)
  16. If you had a previous email account set up, you might receive a Mail Delivery Location confirmation message. Click OK.

Setting up Exchange on iOS devices

    1. From the Home screen tap Settings.
    2. From the Settings menu, select Mail, Contacts and Calendars.
    3. Tap Add Account.
    4. Tap Microsoft Exchange.
    5. Complete the following fields, and then click Next.
      • Email — Enter your Hosted Exchange email address.
      • Domain — Leave this field blank.
      • Username — Enter your full Hosted Exchange email address.
      • Password — Enter your email account password.
      • Description — Enter a description of the email address to display in the email account list on your iPhone.
    6. In the Server field, type:  exchange.plexustechnology.com
    7. Tap Next
    8. Select to synchronize Mail, Contacts, or Calendars by sliding to On.

WARNING:If you select On to synchronize your Contacts, ALL contacts will be deleted from your iPhone.
Toggle

  1. Click Save.

Setting up Exchange on Android devices

  1. Navigate to the Settings of Android.
  2. Under Accounts, tap Add Account, then tap Email.
  3. Tap Corporate to set up Exchange.
  4. Complete the following:
    • Email Address — Your full email address ([email protected])
    • Password — Your email password
  5. Tap Manual Setup.
  6. Complete the following fields, and then click Next.
    • Domain\Username — Enter your full email address preceded by a backslash (\[email protected])
      ( Please note that some phones do not require the backslash.)
      TIP: If your phone uses the HTC Sense user interface for Android, Domain and Username are two separate fields. The Domain field should be empty. Enter your full email address in the Username field.
      Toggle
      Password — Enter your email password.
    • Exchange Server — exchange.plexustechnology.com
    • Use secure connection SSL- select this option.
  7. Tap Next.
  8. Select your desired settings in account options, and then tap Next. (SMS sync may be on by default, it should be off)

Setting up Exchange on Blackberry devices

Exchange Calendaring not supported on Blackberry devices.
Toggle

The easiest way to set up your email account on your Blackberry is to use the Blackberry website provided by your service provider. To set up Blackberry with Exchange mail settings, do the following:

  • Go to the Blackberry website hosted by your service provider. We recommend using a computer to visit the website, but you could use the web browser on your Blackberry device if you prefer. Links to popular service providers are shown below.
  • Log in to the Blackberry website with your Blackberry user name and password.
  • Click the Set Up Account button.
  • Enter your email address in the Email address: box. ([email protected])
    • Important: You must leave the password boxes empty so that the Blackberry website gives you the option to manually configure your email settings.
  • Click Next.
  • Select I will provide the settings to add this email account.
  • Click Next.
  • Select This is my work email account.
  • Click Next.
  • Select I can access my email account using a Web browser (Outlook Web Access).
  • Click Next.
  • Complete the form.
    • Enter https://exchange.plexustechnology.com/owa  in the Outlook Web Access URL: box.
    • Enter your full email address in the User name: box ([email protected]).
    • Enter your password in the Password: box. (This is the password you use to log in to your Exchange email account.)
    • Enter your email address in the Email address: box. (This box may already be filled out.)
    • Enter a preferred name in the Mailbox name: box.
  • Click Next.
  • You will receive the message, You have successfully configured access to: ([email protected]) Click OK.

Your Blackberry is now configured to send and receive email using your Exchange email account.

  • It may take up to 20 minutes before you begin receiving email on your Blackberry.
  • You should be able to send email immediately.
